Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground-beef
  • 6 brioche hamburger-buns
  • 1 small yellow-onion diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small green-bell pepper diced
  • 8 oz brown-mushrooms minced
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire-sauce
  • ½ tsp Kosher-salt
  • ½ tsp fresh ground black-pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 8 oz Provolone-Cheese Slices chopped (use 6oz if you don't want it very cheesy)

Instructions

  • Add the ground-beef into a large cast iron skillet (this brwn well) and brown before a deep brownish crust looks prior to breaking up the beef aside.
  • Stir the ground beef & brown till a profound crust seems about 50{026c1b94ba14451d54d3ec8109075a6a4d4c37561240d871ad3ec290757a768d} of the beef.
  • Remove the beef (you may leave the fat) & add the egg and the onions and bell-peppers and mushrooms.
  • Let brownish for 1-2minutes before stirring, then let brown for another 1-2minutes before stirring.
  • Add the beef back in-the pan.
  • In a small cup mix the beef broth and cornstarch together.
  • Add the ketchup, Worcestershire-sauce, salt, black-pepper, steak broth/cornstarch mix into the pan.
  • Cook until the mix is simply slightly liquidy (roughly 75{026c1b94ba14451d54d3ec8109075a6a4d4c37561240d871ad3ec290757a768d} of the mix is over liquid), 3-5minutes.
  • Switch off the heat, add the provolone-cheese.
  • Served on toasted brioche buns.
